Free word processor

Ive always used Word Works but that doesnt seem to work with Win7. Are there any decent free word processors around?

Open Office. IMO it's the daddy of free office suites.

another vote for open office, however I would alter the default save file type on all apps from .odf to .doc/xls/ppt and uncheck the 'ask stupid quiestion box' or

1) you will get anoyed every time you save a doc and it says 'do you really want to save it as this format)
2) if you leave it ODF most people will not be able to read it.

I had to set MS Office 2010 to do the same. .odf indeed....

LoL... Now only if there was a browser option to get passed those one annoying pages automatically, you know those ones who have the page that says "click here to enter site" I hate those.

The only ones of those I know are sites asking if you're 18 or older :3
