I was poking around in the OCUK hard drive section today and noticed this product:

linky

I accidentally dropped one of my external drives last year and have been putting off getting the data recovered until I had stockpiled enough disposable cash since it is so expensive! The damage is broken heads from what the company I got a quote from told me. But this product seems to be giving me the same service as those companies charging £400-£500, for just £25?!!? It sounds too good to be true, does anyone have experience with this service?

It does seem too good to be true and I can't find anything useful on the internet apart from a forum thread on a competitors site. Apparently they send you back all recovered data on a freecom USB hard drive, no idea if that is on loan or to keep.

The skeptic in me thinks they will take your £25 and when you send them anything to recover they will say most of it was unrecoverable and send you a few jpgs on CD.

It's also unclear whether it's like an insurance policy, or if you can just buy it after your HDD has failed (how will they know for sure?)
