Freedom

Luckily not all people are the same. For me freezing your nuts off whilst hurtling down a slope with very little control at ridiculous speeds is "mimicing" a rock that's about to hit a tree.

Never been cold whilst doing that. Rocks aren't in control over speed or direction. Flawed argument is flawed. I guess you like the leather bondage "look at my junk" look.

The most important freedom is the freedom to fail (as most posters in GD know all too well rofl). What I mean by that is that people should be encouraged to make risks by mitigating the consequences of failure, which still must be negative. E.g. if you borrow money and can't pay it back, you are able to claim protection from your creditors via bankruptcy rather than go to a debtors prison which is what used to happen.

Luckily I don't ride a bike. I just don't feel the need to be a schmuck to those that do ;)

I run, it's the one time I can get myself to a point of only thinking about catching my breathe and there's something quite peaceful about that.

I quit jobs.

There's a euphoric uncertainty about the last day you actually walk out. I think true freedom is inextricably tied to risk and not knowing what will happen next.

Yet you are chained into the cycle of needing to find another ;)

Me...Travelling, I like travelling to places and take pictures. Not knowing what I'll do or see that day.

There is no such thing as freedom. Merely typing some words onto this forum, I could be tracked down and sent to prison by the security services. I could say some words whilst out shopping, be reported to the police and sent to prison.

The other ways our freedom is limited are too many to mention, but as you say, driving fast is one of them. Even making consensual love to a beautiful woman can be illegal (think BDSM).

We are all controlled by our governments, just to differing degrees.

Rigth now - and this may sound daft to some - however

The feeling of getting home looking at my house and knowing that it's mine - no more worrying about how long am I here for or what happens when I fall out with people :)

Makes me smile when I get out of the car when getting home or walk up the path to it from the tram stop

I run round a muddy field, i meet new people, and proceed to shoot them.

Also known as airsoft, but the feeling on the field where your fate in the game is decided by you alone is very freeing

OP literally ****posting.

I never quite understand the logic behind a motorbikers "freedom", you're wrapped in a leather bodybag (which are typically far too revealing), with a helmet preventing you from feeling any of natures forces on your skin. That's not freedom, that's mimicing a gay power-ranger.

Ah, but if you are young and stupid like I was, you do it on a Harley wearing a t shirt, jeans and bandanna riding through the desert at 120mph with your chapter.

Similarly, tournament paintball used to be the only time I really felt in the moment

Now I'm old and stupid and don't do any of that
