Freeing up disk space

I don't think anyone's mentioned Patchcleaner - finds orphaned files and deletes them (or moves them if you are nervous of deleting them!)

Wow thank you! Amazing bit of software. I just cleaned 26gb of old update files so now have 50gb free Problem solved!

Oddly I did try Disk Cleanup and selected system files. It found only about 3gb's worth of stuff to remove. I ran it (took ages) and when I checked the SSD was still showing as having about 11gb left.

You have to reboot after for the space to clear.

These are old update files that for some reason don't get identified or cleaned out by the 'normal' methods (Ccleaner, disk cleanup), so just sit there taking up space and unknown about...
