Is this game any good?

Is this game worth £10?

Can you make your own ship and put wepons on it?

Should I buy this game?
 
Its a very good game.

its worth a tenner, tho im sure you can get it for less.

you dont make but buy your own ships and weapons.
 
pretty arcady (not neccesarily a bad thing), the action is fairly repetative but the storyline and the next must-have bolt-on keep you going. Deffinately worth a bash for a tenner though.
 
Even for a tenner you can easily play this game constantly for a week, plus there is online play. Although not as good online as Eve it does give you direct control over space combat and in my opinion is a cracking game!
 
I didnt really think much of the multiplay, your profile is only recorded on that one server you go on... so if you were to make loads of money on one server, its forgotton in another.. :( Single player however was amazing :p
 
considering the atrocity of a storyline microsft caused the game to endup with, i'd say that for £10, it is worth it.

the Original Storyline was really amazing, but it would have delayed the realease by about 6 months, so microsoft chopped it to bits and released the game early.

although, there are no bugs (that i've found) and a whole bunch of weapons (Mmmm, Lv.10)

i hope you enjoy it.
 
Bargain for a tenner, go for it. I really enjoyed it when it came out, in fact i might dig the disk out now and give it a spin - thanks for the reminder! :)
 
Hmm, just checked and this game is less than 3 years old! For some reason I always thought it was a lot older than that.

Might have to look it up when I'm done with Freespace 2.
 
great game for £10 :)
one of my favourite games of "yester-year"... it'll have you sat there for hours...
i'd reinstall it... but i have a life now... do i want to lose it again? :(

me and bro spent hours playing co-op, we're playing through the latest evolutions mod atm but he's been a bit busy this year so we ain't done much of late.. multiplayer aint to bad depending where you play, there's a few good role play servers where you'll have pirate/police/merc/trader clans acting out their parts. heres a uk server i see pimped the other week, it's a modded server but pretty much all servers are now.

also it looks so nice on one of todays pc's.. theres nothing quite like buying a game, putting it on high detail and playing it through for the first time will it looking lush and running smoothly.
 
Also there are numerous mods to add ships into the game from Star Trek, Babylon 5 etc and other mods for single player storylines as well to download.

No Freelancer for me then. Everyone say how bad it is so I don't feel left out. ;)
 
for a tenner get it!

complete it, leave it for a good few months even a year... do it all over again but you know whats coming kinda so you can prepare :D

there are some mods for it that add a bit more content

only a lil bit mind

if ya like freelancer then why dontcha try EVE:Online

ya can get a 14 day free trial

yes it's a monthly subscription game but worth it if U enjoy it
