Uh.. two gaming icons that are both mutes. Giving the legacy of the two, Link wins hands down.

Link v Mario in the finals by the looks of it.

lol, the last 4 characters are all mutes.. well Mario speaks a little if you count' "waahooo" or "mamamia" speaking but he might as well be a mute.

People are voting for the game and not the actual character.

as much as Gordon is awesome, Link will always be the sole reason I love games.

Link to the past, Ocarina of Time & Wind Waker are some of my all time favorite games, as well as the GB Zelda as well.

Freeman has had 2 1/2 well polished linear FPS games.

Link has had countless highly involved adventure-RPGs with some very moving stories.

The sheer quantity of game-hours Link is involved in is massive.

I think that we're supposed to vote based on the character, rather than the quality of the game they starred in.

But I suppose one can vote for whatever reason they want. I'd like to see Link vs Freeman in a fight though.

Sword vs crowbar, M4 vs catapult, gauss cannon vs bow and arrow... Yes, I did vote Freeman.
