FreeNAS help please, extra NICs

Hi, I need some help with FreeNAS please.

I've added a couple of extra NICs to my freenas box and I want connect clients to them using a crossover cable for iscsi.

client NIC2 = 10.0.1.1 255/255/255/252
freenas NIC2 = 10.0.1.10 255/255/255/252

I get a link, but I cant ping 10.0.1.10 from the client PC. (or do anthing else)

Do I need to enable anything within FreeNAS to get these extra NICs working.

On the freenas shell, when i do a local ping to 10.0.1.10 that also doesnt work, so it looks like the interface is down (yet it says its up)

You need to work on your subnetting a bit, if you're using a /30 then .1 and .10 aren't in the same subnet, hence it's using your default gateway instead...

EDIT: Basically change them to be .1 and .2 if you want to use that netmask, or just make it a /24 instead.

Opps, yeah I sorted that out, but I made them /24 and they still dont ping.
