Freensync cap FPS to stay in range?

Hi,

I have a Freensync monitor on the way and was wondering if the Freesync range is limited to 75hz is it better to cap my FPS to 75hz, what happens if I don't and it goes over?

If so what's the best way to do this?

VSync on will cap it to 75hz.

These piddly freesync ranges are the biggest problem with an "open" standard

i use ccc and set the max fps to 74 and dont bother with vsync

I don't want to use Vsync, I should have said in the OP

I had a look in the new Crimson software last night and found the FPS cap so assume that will apply it to all games

not used crimson yet but you can still cap the fps in the latest control centre, it working a treat on my xr34 with no vsync
