freepost - proof of postage

i am sending some ram back rma (crucial) to a freepost address

will royal mail be able to give me some form of receipt to confirm proof of postage (post office)

the ram is worth about £20

You should still be able to obtain a certificate of posting I would think, that's good for up to £26 compensation.

As far as I know the certificate of postage is free on request.

£39 now, its always 100x the value of the first class stamp.

This, had to get one on Saturday for something I was returning. Just went in the Post Office and asked.
