Freesat question

Currently I am using my old sky box for viewing the free channels. If I was to get a "proper" freesat box will I be able to receive/more free channels as opposed to using my skybox?

The channel mix is different. For example, Freesat has FX and Dave, free to air Sky doesn't.

Check out the Freesat TV listings - there's a few good web sites for that - and see if there are channels that you want to watch in order to justify the cost.

Correction... no Dave or FX... as pointed out by Sone below, ta.

pretty sure you can't get FX and Dave on freesat.

You get (a few) more channels on a sky box with a card. Things like Viva and Sky3.

Actually your right, oops. I Googled "Freesat TV Guide" and had a quick look at TVGuide.co.uk and assumed it had filtered for Freesat... but it hadn't. It was showing all channels, not just the Freesat ones...damn.
