Freesync - Borderless Window?

So that stops Freesync working? Or are you saying you don't bother running Borderless and just tab out? I can think of many games that require mGPU but as we are not really helping the OP, I will let you have your say and leave it at that ;)
No bud.

Freesync does not work in windowed mode period, a window being borderless or not makes no difference.
And i was not replying to the OP and nether does everything said has to be specifically about the OP because the OP said nothing about multi GPU but someone else brought it in so im replying to that.

Yes i hit alt tab and there are many games even when run in a Window you still have to alt tab, whether you are running multi GPU or not it does not change whether you can use the other 2 screens or whether you have to alt tab.

Agreed with above, Also Some people choose to play in borderless/ non screen mode.

a friend of mine will not play in Fullscreen mode at all he will always choose borderless even with AAA games that should require MGPU. so it really depends on the OP thoughts

But the answer to the OPs question is that Freesync doe not work in borderless window. While you or I may not find this a problem the OP clearly does and the simple answer is NO. :)

Yes the answer is NO hence why i was not replying to the OP and i was specifically replying to the persons i quoted which was about multi GPU which the OP didn't mention anything about multi GPU and i was clearing up misconceptions.
Just because someone says something the OP didn't mention that does not mean others cant reply to what the other person said because the OP didn't mention it.

And how many games that do that require multi GPU.

Damn it, CandyCrush is not using CF.

CF does not work in windowed mode outside of Mantle, its being borderless or not makes no difference.

There are some AAA titles that do it, etc. some appear to be fullscreen that underneath don't actually use fullscreen mechanics even when they don't appear to be in a windowed mode hence the mention of borderless as a lot of people don't understand the different display models.

One of my biggest moans was G-Sync + SLI + DSR not working.

I was gutted that I wouldn't be able to use DSR with Gsync + SLI.

I play nearly all my games at 2880x1620 as it seems to be the perfect resolution for my 970's in all the games I play, solid 60fps at max settings, and is big improvement over 1440p in terms of image quality.

I was all set to get a Gsync monitor until I found that out, so didn't bother.

I have no idea about programming drivers but didn't expect it to be that big a deal when they have DSR working with SLI and a non G-Sync monitor and DSR working with a single GPU but it must be if it still isn't sorted.

I did also request it every new driver but no response, which usually means they don't have a fix in the works :(

Name the AAA titles that don't have a true full screen option.

I really hope they will fix FS to work with borderless windowed mode, as it stands I do way too much alt-tabbing to consider it for a daily monitor.
