In the market for a decent 24" 144hz monitor to go with a R9 380. I have been looking at 1080p monitors with Freesync (AOC G2460PF and liyama GB2488HSU-B2) but are there any non Freesync monitors that are the same price range and better?

I just this week got a 390 and a 27" 2560x1440 freesync monitor.

Havent had much time to do much testing but the time ive spent on black ops 3 has been silky smooth at max settings

I'm looking to spend around £200 - £250 on a monitor, I just wasn't sure if Freesync within this budget was worth it or spend the same money on a non Freesync monitor. There must be a reason why people are still buying monitors that dont support Freesync or Gsync.

I dont really have a preference for AMD, its just what i went for when i was looking for a GPU. In a few months i may upgrade and it is possible i will go Nvidia next time, i have mainly had Nvidia GPU's in the past hence why i am wondering if Freesync is worth it rather than a standard monitor with some other type of syncing.

After much deliberation i chose the Iiyama GB2488HSU-B2. Monitor is being delivered tomorrow.

Now that Intel are including Freesync in the next gen CPU'S i wonder if Nvidia will follow suit.
