Freeware timer program?

I'm looking for a simple timer program to monitor battery life on laptop and more importantly my eeepc (basic battery functioning).

I want to be able to start it and have it resume with windows after a complete shutdown.

I want to be able to see total computer "on" time since last reset.

Any ideas? I've googled a found a few but after trying 4 of them they either didn't work or were crap.

Best bet is google gadgets

they have a windows uptime one which shows how long the PC has been running for

use logon/logoff scripts that write to a textfile

echo %time% %date% ON >>c:\file.txt
