Freezer 64 Pro Fan?

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement fan from, because my one has just started making a horrible noise and it seems like it may die soon :(

If i'm right, the rubber mounts that hold the original fan in place should be good for any 92mm fan you can get. How old is the Freezer 64? Any chance of a warranty replacement?

From the OcUK site, the Akasa Amber looks like a good choice for the money, or check out the range:

They are 3 year warranty but its a £15 HSF. I'd buy a new one cos it will probably cost a tenner to RMA it to Arctic Cooling. It'll hardly break the bank will it? :D

If your replacing it then I would also reccomend a 92mm Amber Ultra. I took the 80mm one off my Akasa 961 as it sounded like a plane taking off, replaced it with an 80mm Amber and it dropped the temps a good 5c.

Silent also even at full. :)

Pft, Ambers are pretty poor.

I have just cable tied a 120mm Nexus fan onto my Freezer 7, better temps than the stock fan and lower noise.

No more water :(

Got a pic of how you did so? Would be interesting to see how.

What temps did you get before and after?

Thank you :)

Well, the temps were around 5c better when I last done it.

However I have since had water cooling and only just put it back on, so I don't really have a frame of reference. Can get some pics though.

There's also a couple linked together going around the bottom part of the cooler.

I just cable tied a 120mm fan to my freezer 7, purely out of curiosity , and blow me down , it did indeed drop temps by some 5-6 degrees as apposed to the rather lame stock fan. Little longer i shall keep the freezer 7 :D

I am having to do an all-nighter to finish the 5000 word essay that is due in tomorrow (well today now), so I will try this later on.

The noise from the fan is really bugging me at the moment, and it is made worse as it is making the whole heatsink vibrate. I am sure that it can't be good for it
