The fan on my Freezer 64 gave up - as they do :( .

So I've attached a YS-Tech Silent 80mm fan instead; it is no noiser than before.
Temps are 29C idle and 44C onload, which is exactly what they were with the original fan. I am pleased with the result, but I bought a freezer 64 pro to replace it - I might just try it to see how much better it is.

Pic of the mod here:

And yes there is a 146 under the freezer!

New freezer on CPU, old freezer on northbridge :p

Or old freezer on 6800 :D

The 6800 don't get very hot 45C idle 57C onload and the fan is noisy only until XP loads. I think I might mod the old freezer to fit the 6800; flatten it so the fins go along the gfx; put a plastic cover over it with the fan at one end and direct the hot air out of the case through the PCI slot below. Oh I see arctic cooling have beaten me to it with the NV5 cooler
