Freezing in games

btw how much is the real limit to adding voltage on the NB, i dont wanna add too much, but then i dont want to add too little!
i've set it to +0.075

When you say freeze do you mean a complete lockup ? does that caps-lock light stop working (well, changing) If so thewn I would say it is memory. Make sure you have the correct timings and VDIMM. Yes, 8gb can need more careful setup sometimes but the simplest way to test that would be to just try 4gb first.

it locks up, then if i ctrl+alt+del, then go back to the process it will come back,
and then in cs:s, every now and again it freezes for a few secs, then it like "reloads" (all the bodies on the floor fall down as ragdolls, guns are re-equipped), and stuff!

In that case I don't think it is RAM.

hmm, it seems fixed now, ill test it more, but tested both games and had no glitches so maybe it was nb/ram, illl keep testing and see how it goes!

Similar problem. Interesting that you say about the AA as I run it on my games and game always freeze. But I am unable to do anything and have to do manual restart via switch.
Does this soundine memory problem? How do you know when NB volts is to much? I have increased mine.

To op if you have ocz ram there forums really helpful!

damnit i had the problem occur still a few times yesterday,
im gonna try it and default clock speeds for everything and turn the ram to C6, and see if any difference occurs to ensure that the voltages are correct.
if the freezing does stop then i guess i havent increased the voltages enough,
which is probably the case as i only increased the NB by 0.075v
