Frequency changes

i5 2500k
I have my multiplier set to 45..

I boot up and with windows Core Temp also starts, I see 4500mhz

about 10 seconds after booting it drops down to 3300mhz

when I do a burn test it doesnt increase, it stays at 4500mhz

I have enabled permanent turbo mode

Gigabyte Z68 UD4

any idea wtf?

any idea where I would be looking for these I turned off everything to do with power saving under the CPU advanced settings

Have you disabled it in the BIOS?

I cant see speed step anywhere and I found various power saving things for the CPU which I have disabled in BIOS if this answers your question?

why not leave it on. no reason for it to be off really. sandy chip dont have a problem with it.

but anyway turn off C1E/EIST i think

the fact that it changes to 3.3 after windows finishes loading Im wondering if its easy tune or something

sold my chip so i cant have a look. just got the mobo in a case :-(

removed easy tune, rebooting now

Ah yes Easytune. I find it messes up clocks, so I instantly uninstalled it before I overclocked. Only useful thing I found with it was the CPU fan profile but my CPU is cool enough...
