Frequent CPU clockrate change

Hi,

I'm wondering is frequent changinc of the CPU's clockrate unhealthy?
I have an AMD X6 1090T, so I only change the multiplier.
The only time I need it overclocked (up to 4 Ghz) is when I do rendering (Maxwell Render), which is once in about every two weeks, otherwise I set it back to stock settings.

I'm trying to think of a reason that this would be harmfull to the CPU, like shorten its life.

Anyone have any ideas?

wouldnt of thought so, most chip do it automatically all the time with turbo core

Ah yeah, you're right, forgot about the turbo core function, I guess it shouldn't be an issue then.
