hi all, i have just upgraded my friends mobo and cpu from a celeron d to a 939 setup, however he has loads and loads of work saved on his hard drive and i tunes ets which he reckons is hard to transfer all his files across.
he is running a xp sp2, what i was wandering was if there is any way to just upgrade his current hard drive to work without uninstalling everything? would tryin to install sp3 make him lose all of his files? or would it work? by the way, after tryin his hard drive in is new mobo and cpu, it wont boot in to windows, does this mean that i cannot do an upgrade?
