Fresh Meat

I haven't caught up with the last two yet, but I agree it's been a welcome surprise. The Peep Show heritage shows through in the quality of the writing. It reminds me a lot of the recent series about the ambulance crew... whose name escapes me. But that had the same mix of humour and quirky drama.

Most recent British comedy hasn't done much for me, but these two have been really impressive.

PS Sirens! Had to Google it though. Lousy memory.

Currently catching up on 4OD like others here who didnt pick it up the first time round - the last show only aired yesterday so still behind...

Not everyone will watch it live and a lot of us record programmes nowadays - confused by your logic though as I you think you cant spoil anything after its released? How are TV shows different to other media?

Thought thats why we got spoiler tags in the first place?!? Only looked in here because there were some new posts, really shouldnt have :p

EDIT: Was aired Wednesday - sorry...

I've been catching up on 4od as well (only discovered the show on Tuesday...) So i just didn't read the thread until now. It's always been the rule on the music forum that there will be spoilers for the latest episode allowed so just don't check the thread until you're up to date really.

Interesting rule, wasnt aware of it, must encourage lively discussion :p.

Why did everyone go on about spoiler tags in GD and needing them, when one of the sub-forums that seemed in most need of them think its fine? Am I the only one to think thats retarded?

I think the only forums that really need spoiler tags are the gaming forums, because everyone will be at a different stage of a game, where as with a tv show if people are expecting to discuss it they will usually be up to date with the show.

I suppose it would be useful for books but you don't really see many threads discussing a specific book on here.

Totally differs to the way I digest media now - I havent watched a show/series live when released in years - its always been pre-recorded or via OD services...

I guess Ill avoid all these threads in future as Ill never be on the same timeline as the schedule...

Have to admit Im truly gob-smacked at that expectation and importance implied regards the type of media - very curious...

Nexus use the spoiler tags

Sorry, but OCUK has always had the policy that you can freely discuss something that has aired on UK television. If it's been shown in advance in the US for example, you aren't allowed to discuss it, one because you likely obtained it illegally, and secondly because it's not fair on UK viewers.

The episode of Fresh Meat aired two days ago on UK TV.

I personally wouldn't go reading a thread of anything I hadn't fully watched yet. For example I watch The Walking Dead and I wouldn't go into that thread until I've watched the latest episode, it's just common sense.
Or If I missed the Grand Prix and was going to watch it later, I wouldn't go looking at news websites or the OCUK motorsport forum.

Sorry Nexus, I wasnt aware of the rules on this sub-forum when I posted, so Ive been now briefed, as I said theres limited chance for me to ever be current, so understandably theres little reason for me here to carry on the discussion or to use this as a resource for things undiscovered...

Least I know I dont need to watch my words when it comes to films in the future (main reason why I pop in here)

I didn't get into it at first and only watched due to having a bit of a thing for Josie. Glad I stuck with it though because by the end of the series I was really looking forward to each episode and rooting for the characters. Just a shame it was so short and who knows how long we have to wait for the next season.

Just finished watching all of them. Awesome show, JP and Howard are great character. So weird seeing Professor Shales, as the last time I saw him in a tv show was when I was in primary school and coming home and watching My Parents are Aliens.

Josie looks like one of my friends. Helps that their mannerisms are similar too, but nonetheless:

I didn't even realise he was on that, I recognise him now :).

Season 2 airs September 2012 :(
