Fresh OSX install on Macbook Air

Need to do a fresh install of OSX on my current gen Macbook Air -

Is there anything specific I need to do when formatting the SSD or is it a case of proceeding as you would with a normal HDD?

i.e. - do I need to do anything different in disk utility to wipe and setup the drive.

Nope, just do what you'd normally do. No need to do a secure erase or anything like that (in fact if you did a secure erase in Disk Utility it would reduce the performance).

Did you select an optional install and uncheck unwanted stuff like Printer Drivers and Languages? It'll save space mate.

Yeh I always do that

- Just wasn't sure about SSD's that's all.
