Some people are called Gay - like this chap.

Guy is called Gay Byrne and he presented the longest running chat show in the world. A show called the Late, Late Show in Ireland.

Anyway, he was interviewed on the Tonight Show in America some years ago. Before going on stage he was questioned about his name. They were concerned about having someone called "Gay" on the show. They asked him if they could call him Gabriel. He pointed out that there was already an Irish actor called Gabriel Byrne. They pondered for a moment and asked him what his middle name was. "Mary" he replied.

They introduced him as Gay Byrne.
