Actually, opera has as much support for HTML 5 as chrome does. Google intentionally blocks such features to opera users. A quick way around it is to set opera to identify itself as firefox for that website.

Thats some first class Open Source thinking worthy of the linux community right there. A 'quick way around' is to use a different (proper) blooming browser
