It was that the specific evidence that tells us the story of Horus which we actually have quite a lot of tells us a vastly different story from what the picture he provided tells. I've studied other culture's Gods before and Horus is one of the interesting ones.

You better start checking reality, and tell your local priest/vicar/preacher/astrologist about how the old testament is not relevant any more in christian dogma ... my reference was by the way sarcastic, the fable of Horus or the fable of Jesus son of god, are both the same ... fables. And by the way, I spent my entire youth on a catholic school, and certainly the old testament was used in teachings and as source of dogma, same as it is still today.

Now, religion hating ... not really, same as I do not hate those who believe in alchemy, astrology, creationism ... etc, don't have much respect for them, or anyone who surrenders his/her capacity to reason to the interpretation that others make of book.

Religion has been made redundant by a civil and secular society which has proven better and more coherent at organising society, and religions role in society right now is to create division, come up with random moral rules based on the world view of ignorants who lived 2500 years ago. The damage that religion is doing to humanity is only comparable to the damage which human ignorance and greed inflict, curiously enough the former is closely related to the success of religion.

I surrendered my capacity to reason with others interpretation of the Bible? Thanks, I didn't know that and you figured me out in under a dozen posts of me just telling you was wrong when most of the posts was about Horus XD

Btw Catholics are terrible Christians and have crazy fundamentals. I'm surprised they even taught the Bible seeing as they commonly preach you don't need it, just listen to the Pope.

Very civilised conversation with an ignorant theist - making assumptions, taking phrases out of context and interpretations where there are facts - but usual aggressiveness from religious nut who can only justify himself/herself and his believes through verbal abuse.

As said, I am fine with people believing in god, not trying to come up with their vision of it imposed into other or coming out with random moral rules which just stop the advance of human society.
