This shows the damage sustained by a Russian Air Force Sukhoi SU-25 Frogfoot ground attack aircraft over South Ossetia during the brief clash with Georgian forces in summer 2008. It was struck by a shoulder-fired infrared seeking surface-to-air missile while supporting Russian ground forces near Tskhinvali, but successfully managed to limp back it's base in Krasnodar, southern Russia.
