Inspired by the convertible and classic-friendly weather we were having today, I was going through some old pictures - and came across one from a photoshoot I did that I'd not really registered before:

Shame, because it's easily one of my favorites out of the 300 odd that were taken!

Christ, better keep my dad away from that! Makes his white Stag look like horrible

Shot below is the first shot taken with my new Canon 40D and nifty fifty whilst sitting at my desk.

Christ this D-SLR malarky is complicated, but plenty of practise and 'Understanding Exposure' book should help that:
