A trio of our recent visitors

Not great pics, but given they were taken from inside the house, through the kitchen window/door and the birds were 12-15 feet away not bad for quick snaps :)
The Jay suddenly started visiting a few weeks ago, now he's an almost daily visitor.

nice. I get the goldfinches regularly as well. they love them sunflower hearts, had to stop putting out the niger seed as i was getting thistles all over the garden. shame as everything else likes sunflower hearts as well and they go fast. where as the niger seeds only seem to get eaten by the gold finches so would last ages.

never seen a jay before.

Those are great pics :)

What camera do you use, all mine have been done with a Pannasonic tz7, out the back window (needs a clean).

We've currently got
2x 4 feeder poles, one with thistles (nothing really eats them), 2x sunflower seeds and 1x assorted seed, the other has 3x seed and 1x sunflowers.
Both have peanuts on the tray things, and fat balls/suit blocks.
On the ground feeder we use a load of peanuts, fruit that is just going soft, and things like currents and some bread.
Backed up by a pair of baths, and a water feature that the sparrows love in hot weather (they sort of have a shower).
I think my local petshop like us, we buy a sack of peanuts and assorted feed pretty much every 6-8 weeks, and now we've started buying the sunflower seed by the sack.

He came right up to about 3 foot from the back door for the last shot :)

Thanks. Yours aren't too bad either. :)

That was my Pentax K-5 with a 60-250mm f/4 lens hand held.

Only the one feeder here but we do have lots of small visitors. I should really spend some more time on the wildlife.

My old Hyper 8 Nitro buggy. The only surviving images that I have :( RB WS7 III engine, ported, polished & balanced. Screamed all the way to about 40,000 RPM. Custom sprayed shell (the black one was about £70 I think), digital metal gear servos, 2.4ghz radio gear. Was the sex tbh.
