It's pretty clear in the rules in the first post, even reduced to a size where it's barely readable one rule does stand out very clearly and it does say:

I'm going to be strict on this. A lot of people have been disappointed at the removal of these threads and the subsequent ban. Those flouting/ignoring the rules will be punished with a minimum 48 hour suspension in order for the thread to be around as long as possible.

That's plenty of warning.
