Keeping on the aircraft theme, I was doing some work on top of a tail plane on a C-17 last month at 4am. :p

For those who didn't know, the fin of a C-17 has a ladder built into it leading all the way to the top of the fin, with access doors at the top to reach each side of the tail plane.

Cracking views up there during the daylight hours. :)
