I was thinking he's got whopping caterpillar just above his eyes, which I'm fairly sure we know locally as a hairy huppert or similar, so went to Google to check...

Either Google hasn't got down to the local level yet, or they just plain disagree. Anyway, there's no way I'm checking what the hell that link hides.

Anyway, utterly randomly, while lounging on my bed watching the touring cars on Sunday, I found this dark dagger moth caterpillar happily lying on my leg watching the racing with me. Considering I hadn't set foot outside of the house (breakfast, touring cars, F1, lunch, touring cars up until that point) I'm at a complete loss as to how it ended up wandering up and down my leg...
