Built two 'Bombs' for Beaver Camp next week...

l0pxU7A.jpg

In teams they have to negotiate an obstacle course carrying the bombs... Which consist an old Coffee Can with a 'Tilt Switch' (a large nut on the positive wire of a 9v Battery/Buzzer combo inside the can) and a Kitchen timer ticking down a pre set time limit...

Teamwork and excitement for 6-8 year olds!!! :D

We used to do exercises like this all the time and they are great for problem solving "BUT" I can imagine a few parents complaining when their little Jonny/Janet comes home telling them about the "bomb" they had to carry. You can do exactly the same exercise but just a different risk i.e say it's fragile eggs instead etc and avoid any potential "Daily Mail" issues!
