Albatross' are quite small in comparison to golden eagles aren't they?

Besies googlegfight says golden eagle :p

Wouldn't have thought so, the albatross is the largest bird is it not?

Which monkey said an Albatross would win?
Having lived close to a place where they were in abundance, i know for sure that the most harm they can do, is poo on your windshield :p

**edit** <<insert Chuck Norris Will Win Remark>>

Fair enough, bigger doesn't necessarily mean stronger though. :) The albatross doesn't have the talons or the sharp beak that the golden eagle has I'm sure. Is the albatross a bird of prey or a scavanger?

Albatross feed on squid, fish and krill by either scavenging, surface seizing or diving.

Golden Eagle's prey includes marmots, hares and mice, and sometimes birds, martens, foxes, lambs and young deer.

It's not a bird of prey I believe, which is why I'm firmly in the corner of the golden eagle.

And as a quick bit of research the albatross has the largest wingspan of any bird, not the largest in general. I still think it's larger than an eagle though.

Edit: Oh, and apparently they're scavengers. Can you tell I'm an expert on this? ;)

Office antics are great. Its a little off the subject but on a Friday in my office we have a sandwich lottery. This sounds crazy but generates many giggles on a friday afternoon. We all bet Mon on what a certain memeber of staff will have in his sandwiches. he brings them in everday made by his other half! We each pay 20p and the winner that guess's correctly gets the cash. It usually occurs that we have a roll over for a couple of weeks. Every now and then we decide to hide his sandwiches which is all taken in good spirit and no harm is meant. My colleague has so far taped the remaining sandwiches under the desk, to the window and on the ceiling! Always fun! :p

Okay *UPDATE* we have abandoned the eagle vs albatross one as there was no clear winner according to our rules of the vote (even if I think the eagle would win)

However, we have brought the following into the equation:

Who would win out of an orangutan and a chimpanzee.

Pros for Chimp: Intelligence, speed and PG Tips
Pros for orangutan: Weight, strength and 'right turn Clyde'

Orang will pull the arms off a chimp and pick its teath with the bones, they are massively strong and highly intelligent

Aren't orangutans smarter than chimps?

Chimps can be pretty viscious hunters, Chimp for the win :)
