Friends replacement faulty?

Friend just got a replacement OCZ Vertex SSD from OCUK and he's telling me that he can't install windows on it and it keeps hanging or coming up with a corrupt data error.
He booted with one of his mechanical drives and ran hd tune on the SSD and it's coming up with several bad clusters in the health scan.
Has he got another faulty one?
Says he will fone OCUK in the morning.

Send it back, bad clusters even on a working drive is bad news.

yeah got my replacement from ocuk this morning so went about installing it unplugged all hdd's apart from the vertex and a dvd drive, went to install got so far about 5 times and gave up, so booted up my samsung intall of w7 run hd tune and 9 blocks at the begining of the drive are marked red/bad, so any advice do i phone up ocuk tomorrow morning and ask for another rma???
