i need something to take me away from trackmania nations as im spending FAR FAR FAR too much time on it, and its making me angry and im getting too competative. i have made a cracking start tho 740th in the uk out of 64000

so

im looking for a game to play at night, in the dark, with my headphones on, and.......it must make me jump :eek:

, scare me :eek:

, want me not to play anymore :rolleyes:

i have doom 3 but not really got into it as ( im told my a work buddy ) ive not got to the good stuff, he clains it is the scaryest game he has ever played.
oh and my doom 3 is not vista compatable

hmm played fear and wasnt impressed at all, ( didnt get far tho )
when i play games i need to be taken into them withing the first 15mins or i loose interest very very easily

Condemned: Criminal Origins

One of the most unsettling games I've played, which have been many.

F.E.A.R. is overrated and not scary, purely repetitive.

Yep, the first one was, and it's a good game - not massively brown pants, but an engrossing storyline.

I'd go with System Shock 2 - if you can get over the dated graphics, it's a truly disturbing psychological game with some brown pants moments. I had to stop playing it because it freaked me out a bit too much - and I was nowhere near the end, I'm sure of it. Followed by Condemned, then Doom 3.

AVP/AVP2 as marine. Some very jumpy moments there.

Plus you can go on and do the pred/alien games as well

Area 51, another old game, but definitely got some brown pants moments, I remember one bit you drop down from a dark barely lit ventilation shaft into a pitch black room, and I turned my torch on, as soon as I did 2 bright yellow/green eyes lunged forward at me exposing the beast with my torch, actually scared the carp out of me.

Condemned: Criminal Origins, not very scary but there are a few moments that are unexpected, it's a very short game though. Also, F.E.A.R. is worth a play through although that isn't very scary either lol.

F.E.A.R. and Condemned.

First time I played FEAR i had to keep the lights on and pause play every few minutes cos I was proper freaked out.

Alternatively, I've heard the Penumbra games are rather good too.
