Fringe

I quite like this show now, I took me about an hour to get into it though, which is over half of the premier. The show is filmed a lot like Lost. Infact with an accompanying score from Michael Gianchinno it sometimes feels like a scene from Lost (although not as good) it even does the whole climatic build ups and drop off when a plot twist happens.

It was a pretty poor pilot but with immense potential...i'm giving this a jericho rating...starts off poor then has you hooked without even knowing why ;)

dont even dare compare this to jericho, this isnt much better than average, jericho on the other hand was somewhat gripping!

Jericho is an amazing show, far better than the likes of Prison Break which sadly got renewed...here's hoping the Jericho story gets continued soon.

it's ok, i'll watch it when i've got nothing else to watch but wouldn't go mad for it like lost, heroes, house, dexter or whatever

And the worst thing is didnt this guy move onto Star trek ?!

I gotta admit the Pilot/1st episode failed to impress nothing at all interesting/new concept, and the 4 episodes ive seen just carried on as such. Acting isnt very good from the lead actress just passable, but the son/father do a good job :)

This reminded me off that other scifi threshold show that got canned after 1 season.... same old Alien/Mystery poop

Ill Agree there. The Son/Father seem to work for me but the main woman doesn't seem all to interesting.
Don't mind the show I think it will get better in the later episodes. I just realised last night that the pilot was actually 2 episodes in one seeing as it was 1 hour 20 minutes without adverts

Have to agree, the jury is still out. I've watched all the epsidoes so far and still think its just another X File's rip off.

I'll probably watch the next two or three episodes and see if it does get any better but it's not really what I'd class as gripping stuff.

On the other hand Anna Torv (Olivia Dunham) is "fairly hot" and more to the point she's the niece of billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch ;)

This is a show that has potential, its taken a lot from x files and since it will be compared to xfiles has a lot to live up to. Will definately keep watching for now and see how this goes.

ah love this series, fav ep is 4 so far, sooo cool series, hope it doesn't get killed soon after, i was told about this series that all that is shown on the show can in theory happen...mebbe i dunoo!

Am liking it so far, not gripping stuff but entertaining enough to pass an hour. Denethor/Walter is brilliant and definitely the highlight of the show, cracked up when he made the comment that the guy with the metal in the blood could pick up satellite with the correct attenuation (or something like that).

They need to bring in some non linear script writers to sort out long term plot delivery and it will easily lock onto X-Files audience. The biggest problem the show seems to have at the moment is something that always screws things for us - foreign viewers - you have to pay full attention from episode to episode - something that american audience can not do and thus numbers drop and shows get cancelled. Unless audience paid attention to experiments in first episode the idea of carrying main behind-per-episode season plot via Mark Valleys character returning as an inner alter ego/vision thing is going to kill this show off after half a year. I bet by now most of the poll number making beerhat wearing fatties are looking at the screen with half eaten corn dog asking themselves "where did this Boston Legal guy come from and why is he popping all over dark corners" loosing interest with every long distance call commercial.

I got to EP3 and had to discard this show, the interplay between Peter and Walter was starting to get annoying, im going to wait until they schedule another series, whilst its not must see TV, its not bad, but I cant see it lasting,im not really clicking with any of the characters, well apart from Anna:p

The problem is that Walter just isn't believable as a 'crazy' person, nor does he convince as a scientist.

The acting isn't great, but the direction is. The story has a lot of potential, just hasn't started off as I would have liked. At least it has a 'hard' lead woman who isn't incredibly annoying a'la Kate from Lost or that woman from The Eleventh Hour.
