Well lets see. Calzaghe has (on his record)

Hopkins (superb ring general but calzaghe out-worked an old man)
Kessler - fair enough!
Eubank (past his best but a good win)
Lacy (was never a good fighter)
Jones Jr. (been over the hill since 2004, they fought in 2008)
Robin Reid (never rated Reid at world level and Calzaghe almost lost this one)

Froch has:

Dirrel (could have gone either way)
Pascal (great fight against a world level fighter)
Bute (ok maybe he is on the same level as Lacy!)
Taylor (I guess Froch nearly lost this once, but he did the job)
Kessler (won one lost one, did well in both fights!)
Abraham (maybe Abraham was below par when they fought)
Glen Johnson (ok he was over the hill!)

Honestly I think Froch has a better record in terms of class of opposition
 
I dunno, calzaghe prime could beat anyone, the amount of ounches that man throws is ridiculous. probably could have had a much better fight history but still, he was unreal and would have beaten froch imo.
 
I think Calzaghe vs Froch looks very much like Calzaghe vs Kessler.

Froch looking for the big shots, Joe outclassing him, landing a massive volume of punches for a lop-sided decision.

Having said that, I do like watching Froch fight. His fight against Pascal was insane for around the first 8 rounds, two big strong lumps in there just trading leather - the first guy to take a step back losing.

Hoping Carl wins tonight, Groves has come across as a completely and utter ******* over the last few weeks, I'd like to see him get some respect smacked into him.
 
However it ends, props to Groves for making the fight happen and not trying to pad his record with some more easy pay days. I honestly have no idea how this one turns out, I hope Groves surprises a few people!

Froch has fought twice since Bute, and Groves is the IBF mandatory.
