From 1Gb to 2Gb

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 (MY-079-CS).

Wouldnt bother with any ram guaranteed to run over 200mhz. JJust get the ones with the tight timings.

hello
i have a socket amd 754 cpu with two 512mb of ram. Im thinking of adding another single gig stick if ram. will this decrease preformance? Does AMD 754 cpu have dual channel mem thing?

thanks

Although your memory will have to run at 2T.

I used to run 2 x 256MB sticks with a 512MB stick and had this problem.

i have 4 x 512mb sticks of Corsair 3200xlpro. it has been running on an MSI K8n Neo4 mobo with an A64 3500+ winchester that was overclcoked with absolutely no isses

My Ocuk Value comes up as running in 2T. Its currently at 2.5,3,3,7 but it wouldn't do 1T at stock either.. and I have no idea how to make it; the Epox bios is a bit more advanced in the memory department than my old NF7-S.

Try slackening the timings to 3-4-4-8 and see if it'll run at 1T (I think you might have tried this as you said it won't do it at stock either but it's worth a try!). Perhaps slacken them further? It's just that 2T does cause a fair performance drop - I don't know if the sticks are rated at 1T or 2T themselves

Perhaps try bumping the voltage up on them slightly, by 0.1V as this can help with stability
