From a Pioneer LX-5090 (Plasma) to an LG B7 (OLED)

I will keep my Kuro till 2020, 4k and HDR being was it is for now on top of immaturity of OLED.

I have a KRP 500 and a KRP 600 and so far its the pull of a larger screen that's making my wallet itch. I now have a 4k monitor and watching some 4k is making my wallet twitch even more.

The KURO's are just starting to look out of date now too.

Will probably end up keeping the KURO's and spendng the money on a 4k Projector

I shouldn't read these types of threads! However, I'm not looking for an excuse to replace my Kuro KRP-500A as it's been perfect from day one and that's over 7 years ago. It's outlasted a number of friends cheaper LCDs too. Apart from it going pop I'm not sure what'll make me replace it, but it's good to hear OLED technology is finally meeting or surpassing the Kuro standard. It took a while!

Well, if it makes you feel any better about the future, I barely turn on my Kuro anymore. MY Kuro is in my movie room with the very expensive speaker system and the LG is in the sitting room with a Samsung sound bar and I just finding myself sitting down watching the LG more often because everything looks better on the OLED. I have it a year now and am still completely blown away every time I sit down to watch it. Stranger Things looked so amazing, especially with the scenes where she is finding people.

Those scenes were fantastic. I wager there was some form of collaboration with the film company and LG because those scenes must look pretty atrocious on the more budget LCD displays with few dimming zones.

Congrats on your new telly. Hope you don't suffer with size issues. Reason I say that is after a recent 3 weeks with a new 65" (going from 7 years on a 46") I 'm now wanting a 75" or maybe even more.

It's soo surprising how quickly you get used to a bigger screen for everyday use.
I had those the minute I turned the thing on and it didn't help that they have the 65" next to the 55" in the store. I rationalised with my long term plan that will see me getting a 65" plus model in late 2018/early 2019

Sorry mate.

I'm hoping I will get it sometime this week as I'm on leave from work and can have a play.

My Panny GT30 will be retiring to the bedroom.
Curry's do a price match up to 7 days later but I went with the C7 (title error) which has a few aesthetic differences. Buyers remorse hits hard.

Turns out Curry's had just dropped 100 off the C7. Went up there today and they price matched it and took the amount off the finance plan. Pretty painless, which surprised me.

Softened the blow a little.

Just goes to show, there is never any harm in asking!! £100 off is a decent saving. :)

Has anyone wall mounted the LG TV?

I have it wall mounted and trying to figure out if the power cable is detachable from the TV so I can route the power lead behind my stud wall so no wires are shown?

You cannot buy any TV bar an OLED that is better than a last Gen Kuro in some ways not all ways, no LCD has a look in as LCD is crap tech.
