I hate it because of the unskippable, unpausable cutscenes. Between every level. That only take 5 minutes to complete. Even worse, they're the same cutscene pasted between each level. Additionally, if you ever re-start a level, you still have to sit through the introductions over and over.
Of course, there IS a secret way to pause them. You can tab out and do something else, and rest assured knowing when you come back, nothing has progressed and that cutscene you've watched several times in the last 20 minutes is waiting for you.

My only moan is the unskippable cutscenes which can sometimes kick in right when you're in the middle of doing something. The Ubisoft thing is a little bit annoying, but not game-breaking. On first start-up, it has to download a patch which took ~10 minutes over my 50Mb/s fibre optic connection, so that irritated me. It also gives you a log-in screen on start-up, but I always just click "start in offline mode" so I don't have to make an ubisoft account.
So yeah, my biggest moan is the fact that it has unskippable cutscenes, but they're not very long and it's a small price to pay for what is actually a pretty fun game. I can understand people avoiding it because it's Ubisoft though. If I'd noticed it was an Ubisoft game before I bought it, I might have given it a miss too.
