Front Derailleur Washer

My B'TWIN road bike front derailleur washer doesn't fit the frame properly. My LBS said it's because the welding is too thick. Is this acceptable?

What did the LBS say ?
It would bug me and could work loose as the washer isn't fully seated.

That washer looks like its got a flat edge, cant you spin the round to the frame side, looks like it might fit?

The washer is curved to fit around the curved metal part which the derailleur sits in. You can see in the photo that the weld covers a large part of the curved metal so the washer wont sit flat against it.

I would either file down the curve of the washer so that it fits around the weld or turn the washer 90 degrees so that it cant slip round.

I doubt that Decathlon would be able to fix it. The only way they can resolve this properly is to give you a new frame - which isnt an unreasonable request.

They said bring it down and they'd file down the washer. You're right in that it's not an unreasonable request to ask for a new frame/bike.

My LBS used a Campagnolo washer instead of a Shimano one. The washer seems to be more seated to the left but will be okay for now.
