top left green quadrant is lit up as my wireless controller is connected.
however it keeps swapping sides, ie- lights up on the right, then the left and back and forth. it doesnt effect the controllers responce but its like that annoying little squeek in a car that does your nut in lol.

things i've tried:

switched wireless keyboard and mouse off.
no mobile phone on.

i have a wired network, however there is a wireless network in the house present.
I want this green light to stay stable.
any ideas ?

It could be the sensor I have the same problem.

well it "appears" i have resolved the issue.
put the console in horizontal mode and it stopped doing it.
popped the console back in vertical mode and it hasnt done it since.
try that Shaw and see if it helps.

ps- remember to switch console off and allow disc to stop spinning b4 you move console.

;)

well it did it again so i tried giving the wireless sensor on the front of the xbox360 a few "hardish" flicks" and seems to have stopped moving.
the main thing is im not alone in this lol.....

Yes, mine has been doing it only just recently too. It's quite distrcting actually. I though it was something to do with oblivion at first.

Mines being doing that lots too, I just let the controller re-assign itself and its sorted again.

Interesting. Wondering if mine's been doing it now, but with it under my bed I'd never see it....

the tilt sensor is a small bear bearing I believe (i'm guessing what's what you hear rattling inside when the console is moved). If the bearing gets stuck halfway then it would cause this problem, "flicking" it would probably dislodge it one way or the other.

Ah thank god for that info, when i bought my console i knocked it over while getting my tv unit out  and i noticed it rattled and thought something had come loose! all ok then.
