Hey,

I have recently built a new computer but have noticed that my front panel speaker connection does not work. I have a Coolermaster CM 690 II LITE Version case with a MSI P67A-GD65 motherboard.

It uses Realtek high defenition audio and the audio manager. The back panel will work with headphones and speakers, I just cannot get any sound out of the front panel.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Thanks for your response. I don't know if you can see this or not, but this is what I have:

The HD audio is in JAUD I believe, the other connector joined to it I have not plugged in. Should this be connected as well?

Thanks :)

Just tried to push in the front panel connector, seemed to be OK. Still nothing. Also I think I installed the latest driver. I went on the MSI site and installed that.

This is a real pain :(

Thanks for the responses

Thanks again :P I assume its this one?

64bits Vista, Windows7 Driver only (Executable file)

I have windows 7 64bit, they just don't seem to make it as clear as other sites.

Apparently that manual is more detailed than mine! Anyway I downloaded and installed the latest driver and it didn't seem to make a difference.

I then used the mobo driver disc and installed the older driver on that. With some messing around (I don't know if its because of the older driver, or just luck) I have been able to get this:

However it shows sound as playing through the headphone 2nd output but I cannot hear anything.

So confused...

Thanks :)

YESSS :D Not to worry stulid, thanks for all your help and everybody elses. Turns out it was a lose connection that I had done on the motherboard. Very tight fitting connector, used some long nosed pliers (which I do not recommend) and forced it in.

It now detects an input and lets me select headphones. I am the happiest person alive :P

I do feel quite stupid I should also add!

Thanks again everybody!! :D
