fuel of war......

anyone played this game ?
just brought it and its not bad.
got a few different things in the game and its good to see different weapons.
there is bot's which you control and its kinda funny.

put a post to this a few days ago.dont look like many people got this.but i like it and like u say the bots are fun and i am getting better at the choppers now.but the planes are to hard to fly.the only draw back is the weapons are a bit pants.it takes like 20 rockets from a chopper to kill tanks and things but some people say the graphics is rubbish but i think its good.could do with a good patch on it but i find it ok.will do for now anyway:D

i'm loving this game,if any of you guys play on a particular server regularly let me know:)theres a few niggly little problems that need sorting like the 30cm blast radius from the rockets of the 3rd heli drone but other than that its good fun:D....EDIT...just checked next patch is 1 week away and their allready working on the patch after that :)

How does it compare to BF2142?

I was a 2142 fanatic,clocked up 3000 dog tags:cool:
its very much the same type of game play only beefed up a bit more and ofcourse no titans, maps are a lot more detailed with destroyable buildings and the drones and airstrikes are real good fun espesially the drones and air fuel bomb:)

Just completed this, wasn't expecting a great deal (got it in some THQ pack I bought on Steam a while back) but it turns out that it is actually a pretty good game. Graphically it looks decent, excellent framerate and is different enough from standard shooters (drones etc) to keep it interesting. If I'm honest I'd have to say that I enjoyed the SP more than Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the weapons just feel good (in terms of aiming) although maybe a little underpowered.

On the downside the missions are largely repetitive, basically you either have to control an area or plant a demo charge on something and blow it up for 90% of the objectives. The claim of "non-linear gameplay" is nothing short of outrageous; choosing which objective to go for first is about the extent of the freedom. It's also not the longest game, approx 5hrs gameplay time which although fairly short is certainly no less than the likes of Crysis Warhead or the Modern Warfare games - when the action is intense it is more forgivable.

All in all I would definitely recommend this game to FPS junkies in search of their next fix, maybe wait for it to crop up in steam deals again (has been £3.74 on it's own or in the THQ packs).

a 2 year old thread lol

glad you liked it,i have actually completed this game quite a few times now and i to find it good, the mutiplayer has died a death now but the singleplayer is still good.

i liked the tank mission the best.

Agreed, the single player is good fun.

I purchased this at launch after enjoying the Beta.

Apparently, THQ are going to continue the franchise. This game had HUGE potential however they just hesitated when it came to releasing patches for online multiplayer. This pretty much killed it.

The server browser was broke for about a year if I remember correctly, not good enough really.
