Frying pan

We've had a couple of Circulon Infinite frying pans we got in a set about a year ago, lovely thick bases so great for steaks.

Aye, I have plastic spatulas, but wan't some of the rubbery ended ones most chefs use as well for stirring veg etc.

What do you guys use to clean your pans? Or do you just wipe them out after with kitchen roll?

Bourgeat are the industry standard, and for good reason.
They knock the ******** off tefal and suck in terms of quality, nice thick base, really hard wearing, best non stick coating and oven safe handles.

Le creuset are good, but they're overpriced.

I've got one of these and think it's fantastic.

It took very little time to season it to the point that I could dry fry an egg without it sticking, after seasoning I've yet to have anything stick. I can heat it to what every temperature I like without worrying about toxic chemicals leaching out of the surface like you get with non-stick coatings. I don't have to worry about using metal implements... for the £37 I paid for it, it's an absolute bargain... up there with my All-Clad.

Those are good, my auntie has a couple and I have to keep telling myself I don't need one. Anything good enough for Jamie is good enough for me. :)

tefal preference pans are great. Extra thick base to prevent warping and keep the heat even across the pan. good non stick coating. will last 2 years max though

Agree, non stick is great, and pans have a nice useable weight. No non stick lasts for ever when using decent impliments so you should only expect a few years before replacing. Being sensibly priced helps with this. Anything that I cook that gets deglazed uses a really heavy based frying pan without nonstick as it seems to get better flavour.

Best frying pan i ever purchased was from Aldi, £15 when i purchased them. thick aluminum non stick pan that has never missed a beat, i was so impressed i got a second. i have had them 2 years and i suspect i will have them at least another 2, i use them almost daily and cook anything from bacon to searing hot for steaks.

A steal at £12.99 here
