FS-X nearly here!! :D

Thats what happened with FS2000. It ran really slow and MS said it would be fine when better hardware came out. The new hardware came out and it made no difference.

FSX won't get much better than 15fps.

I get over 30 without autogen on.... 1600x1200, max everything, clearish skies, X1900XTX, 4xAA, 8xAF, etc.

Autogen on it drops to 15+.

So ok for me.

i was involved with beta versions of this and it ran very poorly on my machine.. that was months ago.. think DX10 and vista will make some improvements.. should be getting the retail version sent from america very soon!

I actually tried the demo aagin, put everything on high and it ran fine, only in 1280x1024 due to 19" TFT. Looked pretty nice though with AA on.

Its so hard though, i can do the basics in that caribbean landing but when it comes to landing, i wobble all over and its really hard :(

The freeware program that tries to sort that problem is called ai smooth.

Radar Contact is fairly easy to use. I had to look at the manual for a couple of things but apart from that I got straight into it. It adds so much more to the game.
I wrote a small review when I first got it which can be found here

Thanks for the link to your mini review - I'm most definitely considering a purchase.

AI Smooth stops the go-arounds, but at the cost of vectoring any conflicting traffic 180 degrees from the runway heading. Getting them back into approach isn't handled too well which means although there's no go-arounds, there's hardly any landings take place either.
