FTP Question

Hello all,

I have to download a file that's about 110mb from a website, and then reupload it to my own webspace.

Is there any way of cutting out the proverbial middle man? So my webspace can go get it?

Hope it's not a really, really retarded question.

If you can remote desktop to either server you can setup the FTP directly between them.

It would depend on a) whether you have shell access to your webspace and b) whether the firewall setup at your host will allow outbound connections from their webservers.

a) won't be a problem but b) is another matter entirely, at a guess it's unlikely.

Guessing server doesnt allow fxp, server to server transfer, but if that doesnt work +1 to the php ftp get
