Hi all. Currently using FlashFXP.

Is there any way I can queue up a load of files, and then schedule it to transfer between certain times. eg:

Queue up 15 files. My Off-Peak Usage Period is 10.00pm until 7.59am Monday to Friday and All-Day Weekends.

So... start it off of thursday. It starts downloading at 10pm and continues until say 7am. It then kicks off again at 10pm on friday and continues until all the files have downloaded or it is monday at 7am.

Not really put that across very well but hopefully you'll get what I mean.

Is this possible with FlashFXP, or is there another piece of software which will?

You could use something like Netlimiter to Schedule the times you will allow this program to download at a fast rate, and limit it at all other time.

I think you can only limit it to 1k at other times though. Still it's a start.

certainly an idea if nothing else is available.

Does netlimiter monitor processes? ie if it is downloading and I start BF2, could it detect it and therefore limit the FTP client downlaod

The new Pro version has "limits" and "grants" - grants is good because you can specify the amount of bandwidth you wish to give to an application (like BF2), and it will take it off the others to get what you need once you fire it up.

Would do exactly what you are looking for.

bit hard to set up but seems to be working. Can limit it to 0bytes during peak hours. Excellent :D

It can be a bit complicated. I started out with it on version 1.3, which was much easier to get into. Didn't have the grant system though, only the limit.

Still glad it worked. The grant thing would be useful to give all your bandwidth to an online game while playing during off peak times though. When you stop playing, things get bandwidth back.
