What does everyone use/recommend for FTP?

I've been using WSFTP Pro for the longest time now but I just find it to be slow. I connect to numerous servers daily. Mainly to lots of dedicated servers through various hosts but also to my personal shared hosting through Dreamhost and I have the same problem on all of them.

Not only are transfers slow (max of 2-10KB/s) but it'll transfer to 100% and sit there for 5-20 seconds before saying completed. Until it says completed, the file doesn't actually show up on the servers.

One of the other developers I work with uses Filezilla and he doesn't have any of the slowness that I do connecting to the dedicated host servers. He says it's really basic though so I need something similar to WS_FTP as I need to be connected to numerous servers at the same time. (I know it's not my connection as I had the same problem with BT and now with BE.)

FlashFXP is nice and fast, I will download the trial and see if you like it.

you could download filezilla and just run it as many times as you need giving you unlimited connections. only downside is that many may have to be running but then you get a great lightweight ftp
so its ok

That would work except I usually have 5-10 connections open at once so that would be a pain.
