Greetings Folks

Quick one to all the other fibre users to see if you can help with this one.

Had my EE Fibre installed today and its ok so far.

Sync speed is more then i was told i would get, So that's a bonus.
But the throughput is bad.

Once connected the Modem got 79.9 / 20Mbps sync yet speed tests never above 35Mbps.

I have Unlocked the Openreach Modem and all stats are great.

I have tested the speed using a number of sites, Speedtester.bt.com, Speedtest.net, Thinkbroadband.

All showing speeds from 25 - 35Mbps with cable.

I also have a Samknows wihte box that is connected directly to the router and this is still only showing 38.18Mbps

My ip profile is 77.43Mbps

Do you think my throughput will get better of time?
I am also going to get on to EE as the engineer refused to install the data extension kit.

Kind Regards
Steven

Youll probably find your IP profile drops and actual download speed increases, give it a few days.

The day mine was installed I was getting the full 80mbps, its since settled down at around 65

Sounds like 40/10. How fast is the upstream when you run a speedtest?

Same speeds off-peak?

Greetings KIA

That is what i was thinking, bar the fact my upload hat hit 18.

This is the best i have ever got from it.
At peak times its all over the place from 1 - 25Mbps
Upload is always around 5 - 8Mbps

Well thank you all for your help.
After a number of test's found out it was the QOS with the Bright Box doing it.
Turned this off and tested with cable connected and got 70+Mbps

Over Home plugs only getting 18Mbps or so.
Going to see if any one have 200/500Mbps i can try,
The cheap set i got are only 85 but have been me well until now.
With that being said think it might be the wiring in the house.

But once again many thanks for the help folks.
