FUBAR Arnold Schwarzenegger

i watched the first episode.. As soon as i saw his daughter and heard her story that i knew that was going to be the twist.. Could see it a mile off..

As per the rest of the episode.. It was tollerable but i was beginning to wish that his daughter would get shot by the end of it she was sooo annoying... You would have thought that someone who was an agent and been undercover for how long she was that she would have an understanding on how she could never tell her family and give arnie a bit of slack rather than just giving him crap about how he had lied to her for all of her life..

Boshed through it, was OK, easy background TV :D
Arnie and a lot of the cast can't act for toffee and the storyline is predictable and riddled with holes but, it's easy to watch brain-off type TV - solid 3 bananas -

Hey Arnie - Tell me you're doing a disappointing remake of True Lies, without telling me you're doing a disappointing remake of True Lies....

Its miles miles better than true lies tbh. Okay the fight scenes with Arnie were ropey but I did laugh a lot during the whole series. Good mindless action TV requiring little brain power. Enjoyed it.

In today's PC climate, I can't help thinking that this will be watered down somewhat. Hopefully I can be proved wrong though.

Wasn't too keen on Conan the Barbarian or Kindergarten Cop, but a lot of his other 80s and 90s films were classics - Commando, Terminator 1+2, The Running Man, Predator, Total Recall, Last Action Hero, then I think Eraser was the last of his decent run. Twins was pretty good too as a non-action film.

I'm going to finish the series but this just seems so pedestrian, slow, dull, and just no life in it. No sense of urgency in the action sequences.

Yeah its bit "A-Team" and I wasn't feeling it. But I realised its not aimed at me. It more a Arnie lite for less critical watching. My kid likes it.

I would say it's a solid 5/10 (average), a good TV watch but lacks the believability or really the excitement - definitely an A-team vibe.
